We present to you, for the most part, funny new plays that have never been produced, and others that have had only limited viewing.

Maverick Players are a true Community Theater.

After the Texas Revolution, Samuel Maverick became a wealthy landowner.

He left his herd of Longhorns unbranded, and the cowboys would call a stray from the herd "one of Maverick's".

In time, the word 'maverick' became synonymous with those Longhorns and their owner - unbranded, obstinate and utterly independent.
